Russian Navy denies reports about explosion aboard Moskva cruiser
MOSCOW. September 10. KAZINFORM. The Russian Navy on Wednesday denied media reports about an explosion aboard its Moskva cruiser; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
"Reports carried by some media about an explosion aboard the Moskva cruiser of the Black Sea Fleet are not true," the Navy press service said.
"On September 7, one of the premises in the auxiliary mechanisms section was filled with smoke. The course of the smoke was promptly localised and eliminated. No one was injured," the press service said.
"Everything is normal" aboard the Moskva cruiser and "the information about an incident aboard it is not true", Black Sea Fleet chief spokesman Andrei Krylov told Itar-Tass by telephone; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass. See www.itar-tass.com for full version.
