Russia's Transneft resumes sending oil supplies to China

MOSCOW. October 14. KAZINFORM Russia's Transneft company said Friday that it has resumed sending oil supplies to China after an earthquake in the Far East caused a suspension of delivery; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
Transneft spokesman Igor Demin said the company resumed operations involving the China-bound branch of the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline after the Emergency Situations Ministry lifted its warning about possible aftershocks.
The pipeline was closed for several hours for inspection following the quake, which measured 5.9 on the Richter scale, hit the Amur region in the Far East at 0610 GMT; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
