Russia's Boeing 767 makes emergency landing at Minsk airport

MINSK. July 29. KAZINFORM A Boeing 767 of the Rossiya airlines en route from Greece's Rhodes to Russia's St. Petersburg has made an emergency landing at the Minsk airport, a spokesman for the Belarusian emergencies ministry said on Friday; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

According to preliminary information, while the plane was flying at an altitude of some 10,000 meters, pilots detected a malfunction in the fuel feed system to the right engine. There were 290 passengers and 11 crew members onboard the Boeing.

At 02:53 a.m. local time (03:53 a.m. Moscow time), the plane landed at the Minsk airport. No one was hurt, the spokesman said.
