Russia, CA waited for Zhetygen-Korgas railway line start, Nazarbayev
ALMATY REGION. May 26. KAZINFORM "The whole Central Asian region and Russia looked forward to the construction of Zhetygen-Korgas railway line," the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a meeting with the construction company at Altynkol railway station.
"The volume of economy and freight traffic will rise when the new project is implemented," Nursultan Nazarbayev noted.
According to Kazakh President, the construction of Zhetygen-Korgas railway line, started in 2009, will have a positive affect on the Panfilovsk district. "After the line is put into commission new jobs will be created," President Nazarbayev stressed.
In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev said that construction of a world-class Korgas-Almaty highway is to start this year. The new road is expected to be unveiled in 2014.
