Roy Jones Jr.: Cotto too small for Golovkin

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. believes that Gennady ‘GGG' Golovkin can beat both of the boxers he recently called out - WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto and Mexican star Saul ‘Canelo' Alvarez, Vesti.kz reprots.

Cotto is set to defend his world title on June 6 against Daniel Geale in New York. Canelo wants to fight Cotto on September 12 if the latter beats Geale. "I would go with Golovkin right now to beat Canelo because of his size factor. Alvarez is a good fighter, a very strong fighter, but he is not a normal middleweight. They both have punching power, but I got to go with GGG because of the fact that he's a bigger fighter," Jones Jr. admitted in an interview with Boxingscene.com. "Cotto can beat anyone anytime. However, I think he's too small for GGG. But we have to see if GGG can deal with his punch. Freddie Roach got him punching, so we've got to see," the boxing legend added.
