Roundtable devoted to Kazakh President's Address held in Berlin
ASTANA. February 10. KAZINFORM A roundtable devoted to the discussion of the Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev's Address to the Nation as of January 28, 2011 was organized by the Kazakh Embassy in Berlin; Kazakh MFA's press service told Kazinform.
Speaking about Kazakhstan's development in 2010 Ambassador Nurlan Onzhanov informed of the results of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE and the 7th Asian Winter Games held recently in Almaty and Astana. Besides, he told about the country's foreign policy priorities, particularly chairmanship in the SCO and OIC. The results of Kazakh-German cooperation were also considered.
The attendees got familiarized with the Kazakh Government's measures on economy diversification, support rendered to small and medium businesses, introduction of advanced technologies.
Special attention was paid to the issue of Kazakhstan's economy modernization within the framework of the State Program of Forced Industrial Innovative Development for 2010-2014.
Johannes Neukirchen, head of LANXESS AG, noted that Germany was interested in the market of Kazakhstan, which is not only a country with rich resources, but also the state, which opens a wide field of activities in various spheres, such as construction of infrastructure for water supply in regions.
