Round table on conceptual issues of Kazakh President’s Address held in Beijing

In his speech Kazakh Ambassador to China Ikram Adyrbekov familiarized the round table participants with the conceptual issues of the Address and informed that the Strategic Development Plan of the country till 2020 has been approved. According to the Plan ten years later the volume of GDP in Kazakhstan will be increased by one third against the same period in 2009.

Then he noted that Kazakhstan's society has new objectives. "A peculiar attention in the President's Address is paid to solution of social issues as well as the development of human resources, introduction of innovation approaches and preparation of firm groundwork for post-crisis development as a whole", - I. Adyrbekov emphasized.

In the course of the round table the Chinese experts gave a high appraisal to the President's Address to the Nation and noted that the document demonstrated confidence and will of the Kazakh people to early recovery from the post-crisis period.

The round table participants also noted that the results of 2009 year are productive enough in terms of the development of the Kazakhstan-Chinese cooperation. As is known, the exchange of mutual visits of the Presidents of Kazakhstan and China took place last year. During the visits the sides exchanged views on anti-crisis measures, prospective lines for strategic partnership during the post-crisis period as well as state of interaction within the international and regional organizations.

Representatives of Chinese ministries and administrations, parties, analytical and academic structures as well as business circles took part in the event.
