Rostov region hurricane causes power outages

ROSTOV-ON-DON. May 18. KAZINFORM More than 10,000 people in Russia's Rostov region are cut off from electricity after the Monday hurricane that brought torrential rains with hail, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
Transmission pylons were knocked off and lines were torn in the Aksai and Kagalnitskaya districts, which canceled classes at schools and kindergartens.
The hurricane damaged crops in the Azov district. Repairs are underway in all the affected areas, Kazinform cites Itar-Tass. See www.itar-tass.com
