According to her, such forums are important for the professional community, especially for Kazakhstan, where PR is a relatively young profession. ?It has existed for 40 years in the western countries. U.S.A. and European specialists have vast experience in this sphere. But the situation in the country and worldwide is quite different today. The role of PR professionals has increased in the crisis. Changes in the economy oblige to take decisions and think globally?, Larissa Pak said. Pak proposes the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan to set up a working group on development of academic programs and handbooks. ?There exists a PR market in the country, PR specialists have created their public associations and gained practical experience. We propose to systematize this work and the Ministry should be the coordinating center?, she noted. According to her, PR specialist must be socially responsible. L.Pak noted that the main goal of the PR service have not changed in the crisis. Today all its functions are actual, close attention is paid to the work with mass media. ?Unlike other spheres, there has not been staff reduction in the PR industry many.
