Robbers steal over $65,000 from businessman in St. Petersburg

MOSCOW. January 10. KAZINFORM Four unidentified assailants have robbed the house of a private businessman in St. Petersburg, stealing valuables estimated at over 2 million rubles ($65,000), a local police spokesman said on Sunday, Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
The robbery took place on Saturday when four masked men penetrated the house of a private company director, injuring a security guard and stealing two metal boxes, the police spokesman said.
The boxes contained 510,000 rubles ($17,000), 8,500 euros ($12,000), jewelry and other valuables worth a total of 2.32 million rubles ($77,000), the police spokesman said.
Measures are under way to find the robbers, the police spokesman said, Kazinform cites RIA Novosti. See www.en.rian.ru
