RK Government to develop draft Resolution on preferential import of cars
ASTANA. July 1. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov / The Government of Kazakhstan develops a draft Resolution on preferential import of cars. Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zhanar Aitzhanova said it at a briefing in Astana today.
"At present we are developing a draft Resolution that must be signed tomorrow, published and come into force from the date of publication", Zhanar Aitzhanova informed.
According to the Minister, till 1 July 2011 the residents of Kazakhstan are allowed to import cars under the simplified procedure with payment of import duties and VAT on imports in the amount of EUR 0,35 - EUR 0,6 per 1 cubic centimeter of the engine and operational life of 3-10 years.
As earlier reported, the citizens of Kazakhstan will be able to import one car in a year within the preferential regime, while for the resale of vehicles on the territory of Russia they will have to pay customs duties in general regime.
