Results of IASRF Almaty Summit to be discussed in Ashkhabad
ALMATY. July 16. KAZINFORM /Serik Koybagarov/ A meeting of the heads of the International Aral Sea Rehabilitation Fund (IASRF) founder-states will take place in Ashkhabad (Turkmenistan) today.
The heads of the UN, OSCE, European Union, IASRF Executive Committee and its affiliates, representatives of Governments from five Central Asian countries as well as regional and international organizations will take part in the event.
Chairman of the IASRF Executive Committee Sagit Ibatullin is expected to deliver a speech on the final conclusions of the Almaty Summit and the key activities necessary for execution of its decisions. The participants will also address the regional and environment issues as well as the issues of Aral Sea.
During the event the participants will also consider conception of mutual benefit of cooperation and dialogue, possible effects followed by the activation of cooperation between the Central Asian countries; possibility to use the conception in different sectors of economy and further steps for regional cooperation jointly with the international community.
The participants are expected to approve final document following the meeting.
