Results of expertise of youth policy legislation discussed in Astana

Executive Secretary of ?Zhas Otan? Youth Wing Nurlan Uteshev noted that the expert group, created on the initiative of ?Zhas Otan? in August 2008, determined topical issues on provision of rights and guarantees of the youth policy participants, gaps in the legislation, identification of obsolete regulations and plurality of acts, regulating corresponding relations. A task on preparation of proposals and recommendations on improvement of legislation in this sphere was set before the expert group. Chairman of the Association of Young Scientists of Semey Duman Zhampeisov noted that over 20 laws and bylaws were analyzed within the expertise. According to D.Zhampeisov, one of the problems is insufficient elaboration of the issue of age limits for taking some positions, participating in election process and others. There are difficulties with the use of right of young people for employment, particularly, with assignment of quotas fro working places at private and state enterprises. Deputies of the Kazakh Parliament, reps of state bodies and youth organizations took part in the discussion of expertise?s results.
