Religious leaders attend reception at Astana presidential residence
ASTANA. May 30. KAZINFORM An official reception on behalf of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in the honour of participants of the 4th World and Traditional Religions Leaders' Congress has been held in Astana today, presidential press service reports.
The Head of State thanked the guests for their active participation in the congress and pointed out the relevance of this event within which new initiatives on strengthening the inter-faith dialogue could be voiced. This forum is unique because representatives of various religions can get together at one table. The congress becomes an important integrating factor and promotes formation of mutual understanding. President Nazarbayev also paid attention to the fact that world's religious leaders should actively promote the ideas of tolerance and religious dialogue in their communities.
