Religious extremism and terrorism counteraction in the spotlight of Atyrau seminar

Participants of the meeting paid utmost attention to the outstanding problems of prevention of religious extremism and terrorism, exposing of reasons and conditions behind religious extremism and terrorism. The seminar focused on the search for effective measures to monitor the financial flows financing the terrorist activities and recommendations on extremism and terrorism counteraction.

Deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Andrey Kravchenko, governor of the Atyrau region Baktykozha Izmukhambetov, reps of law-enforcement agencies and public bodies, the British Embassy and the OSCE Center in Astana were in attendance.
