Relations between our countries become stronger for years of independence – Uzbek Ambassador to Kazakhstan

ALMATY. September 18. KAZINFORM /Sara Mustafina/ The relations between our countries have become stronger for years of independence. Uzbek Ambassador to Kazakhstan Farrukh Tursunov said it at the reception dedicated to the 19 anniversary of independence of Uzbekistan.

'We have a high level of friendly, strong relations that are of mutual interest for both countries. Today we have everything for mutually beneficial cooperation at all levels consolidated by political will of the heads of our countries Islam Karimov and Nursultan Nazarbayev', the Uzbek Ambassador noted.

This year has become symbolic in development of cooperation between the two countries. 'We should mention the visit of Nursultan Nazarbayev to Uzbekistan this spring which gave an impetus to further development of our relations in bilateral and regional spheres', F. Tursunov said. He emphasized that the Heads of State counting for the interests of national security confirmed readiness to consolidate efforts on combating international terrorism, religious and other extremism, drug trafficking, organized crime, etc.

'For years of independence the relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have become strategic', the Uzbek Ambassador noted saying about the willingness of both countries to develop the mechanism of bilateral cooperation and stage-by-stage realization of the Economic Cooperation Strategy for 2007-2016 between the two countries.
