Regional residents receive treatment within
ASTANA. September 9. KAZINFORM Kazakhstanis from all regions of the country are rendered highly specialized medical treatments within the framework of the project "Hospital of Future" aimed at introduction of advanced medical technologies and treatment methods, according to Pm.kz.
"Astana's "Hospital of Future" will be the flagship of modernization of the country's healthcare system," President N.Nazarbayev said in his Address to the Nation "Socio-economic modernization - main direction of Kazakhstan development".
As the National Medical Holding informs, the share of patients from the regions that received treatment in clinics of the Holding made 71% over the first half of 2012. This is 24% more than in the corresponding period of the last year. The share of highly specialized medical care made 14% or 2538 services. Last year, this indicator made 6%.
Thereat, 10 innovative technologies were introduced and 87 patients received treatment with the help of these technologies. Unique cardiac surgeries were performed as well. Thus, a surgery on transplantation of a donor heart to a patient with chronic cardiac failure, surgery on transplantation of an artificial heart and 6 bloodless heart surgeries were performed in the cardio-surgery center for the first time in Kazakhstan in 2012.
Allogeneic bone marrow transplantation to a child conducted in the Center of Maternity and Childhood and operations on neurostimulation of spinal cord were great achievements of Kazakhstani neurosurgery.
Besides, the Air Ambulance Center made 353 flights over the first half of the year. Thanks to it, 464 patients received medical care timely, 293 patients were delivered to the national and regional clinics.
Medical personnel of the regional and central polyclinics is trained and undergoes professional development courses on the basis of the National Medical Holding. 1585 specialists were trained in January - June. Besides, 1.7 thousand specialists of the Holding undertook professional development courses including 138 of them abroad. Presently, 64 doctors continue training.
Totally, over 18 thousand patients received treatment in the clinics of the Holding in the first half of the year. This is 3.5 thousand more than in 2011. Over 420 thousand consultative and diagnostic services were rendered. 157.5 thousand of them were rendered in the Republican Diagnostics Center within the guaranteed volume of free medical care.
"Hospital of Future" project is implemented within "Salamatty Kazakhstan" Program. It is aimed to develop specialized medical care in Kazakhstan by means of introduction of unique innovative technologies which are applied in the country for the first time.
