Real GDP growth made 8% in H1 - Kazakh Minister of Economic Development & Trade

ASTANA. September 8. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ The country's real GDP growth has made 8 percent in the first half-year. Kazakh Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zhanar Aitzhanova has made it public at the Government's session today.

Introducing the updated forecast for key macroeconomic indicators in 2010 the Minister noted that the industrial output increased by 11 percent since the beginning of the year. "Retail trade grew by 13.3 percent, transport services - by 6.8 percent", Z. Aitzhanova said.

The forecast is based on the average world oil price at 65 U.S. dollars per barrel. "Taking into account the industrial development tendency, economy growth in 2010 is estimated at the level of 5 percent", the Minister resumed.
