Raising money at public schools in Kazakhstan illegal - Education Ministry

"Raising money at schools is absolutely illegal, it is against the law. Schools and teachers have no right to collect or raise money for any purposes," Mr. Balykbayev stressed at the Monday press conference. "The department of preschool and secondary education in Astana, regional departments of education in all corners of Kazakhstan as well as a special committee under the Education and Science Ministry monitor the situation with illegal fund raising at schools," he added.
