Railway traffic restored after accident in Atyrau region
ASTANA.KAZINFORM - Railway traffic was restored after the accident happened yesterday in the Atyrau region, the press service of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy reports.
"At 6 a.m. on April 20, traffic on the Sagiz-Makat section of the Atyrau branch of the railway road was restored. 218 people, 2 recovery trains, 25 units of motor vehicles, tractors and cranes were involved in the accident liquidation, " press release reads.
As earlier reported, on April 19, at 5:48 p.m 12 wagons of passenger train No. 41 en route Almaty-Atyrau was derailed in the Atyrau region. 7 people were hospitalized. No casualties were reported. The Main Transport Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan initiated a criminal case on this fact. As Kazakhstan Temir Zholy reports, its special commission has started investigation of the accident.
