R. Erdogan awarded title of honorary professor of Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President of Turkey Recep Erdogan has been awarded the titled of the honorary professor of Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, the press service of Akorda informs.

As was earlier reported, Presidents of Turkey and Kazakhstan Recep Erdogan and Nursultan Nazarbayev visited Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University in Turkestan city in South Kazakhstan region today.

The President of Turkey delivered a speech to the academic staff of the university.

During the visit, N. Nazarbayev and R. Erdogan familiarized with the model of the university's campus and museums of the university.

The presidents also left messages in the visitor's book of the university.

Besides, R. Erdogan thanked everyone for the reception having noted the importance of the work of the educational establishment for strengthening of the relations between the Turkic speaking countries.

R. Erdogan also noted that Central Asia was of special importance for each resident of Turkey and Kazakhstan in particular.

"A lot of changes took place in the political, social and cultural spheres of our lives over the recent 20 years. Kazakhstan has successfully overcome all the difficulties thrown at it after becoming an independent state. Kazakhstan overcame all the obstacles and has had a great success. It was possible mainly because of your leader Nursultan Nazarbayev, who wisely used the geographical location of the country to take it to the high international level," R. Erdogan said.
