An earthquake occurred 986 km northeast of Almaty in the territory of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The network of seismic stations recorded a quake on May 27 at 11:12 am. The energy class is 9.6. The 4.4. magnitude quake occurred at a depth of 5 km.
No tremors were felt in Kazakhstan.
