Public procurement transparency to be ensured within Single Economic Space - Minister B. Zhamishev
ASTANA. December 7. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Public procurement transparency is to be provided within the establishment of the Single Economic Space, Kazinform cites Minister of Finances Bolat Zhamishev as saying at the Government's session today. The Minister presented the draft Agreement on public and municipal procurement within the SES formation.
According to him, the Agreement aims at achievement of the following goals: reduction of corruption in state procurement and ensuring national regime for all three countries of the SES. "Both of them are achieved in case if we transit to an electronic form of public procurement. It was decided that after the enactment of the public procurement agreement all procedures will take place in e-format".
The Minister noted that in accordance with the document, a single website in SES countries would be launched which would provide all necessary information.
"In whole, I think that the Agreement will allow us to make the public procurement system more transparent and control it across the SES territory", he concluded.
According to him, Russia's public procurement volumes make USD 120 bln. In Belarus this figure is USD 7 bln and in Kazakhstan it is USD 14 bln.
