Protocol to agr't with Uzbekistan on new documents for entry into to Kazakhstan ratified

ASTANA. KAZINFORM At today's plenary session the Kazakh Majilis has approved the draft law "On ratification of the protocol on amendments to the reciprocal travel arrangement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan as of July 7, 2000.

"It has been in force since 2000. It provides visa-free entry and exit procedures for citizens. The amendments approve the list of documents necessary for entry, stay and exit of the nationals of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the territories of countries. Uzbekistan proposed to add new documents such as a diplomatic passport, a biometric passport of a citizen of Uzbekistan, an identity certificate of Uzbekistan and a return certificate. The relevant protocol was signed on September 7, 2012 in Tashkent," Kazakh Interior Minister Kalmukhanbet Kassymov said representing the bill. Uzbekistan ratified this protocol in 2013.
