Protesters block Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi

TBILISI. April 30. KZINFORM Participants of the pretest on support to the rights of "illegal detainees" have blocked Rustaveli Avenue in front of the parliament in Tbilisi today, Kazinform refers to Trend News.

Leaders of the National Council Zviad Dzidziguri, Kakha Kukava and Zurab Noghaideli, Leader of public movement 'Defense Georgia' Levan Gachechiladze, leader of 'Kartuli Dassy' Jonda Bagaturia, leader of the White's Party Temur Shashiashvili and representatives of Nino Burjanadze's party also participated in the action initiated by the NGO "Solidarity with illegal detainees".

About 2,000 people gathered in front of the parliament. Their main demand was the release of "illegal detainees."

Widow of the first Georgian president Manana Archvadze-Gamsakhurdia and her supporters, who believe that president's son- Tsotne Gamsakhurdia is also illegal prisoner, also joined the action.
