Prosecutor General’s Office of Kazakhstan and the World Bank discuss coop

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today first deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Johann Merkel has held a meeting with World Bank experts.

According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, Merkel expressed its intention to continue to improve the efficiency of justice, develop of information technology and improve the regulatory environment for business. The round table discussed the issues of crime prevention system enhancement, the implementation of measures to modernize the law enforcement agencies, including the concept of personnel policy, production of electronic bracelets, construction of correctional institutions, the introduction of a unified information system called "e-fines". Head of the delegation of the World Bank Amitabh Mukherjee has praised the role of the Kazakh Prosecutor's Office in the realization of the project and confirmed the intention to continue cooperation on the issues of the effective use of borrowed funds. The parties have noted the high importance of the meeting for further development of the existing relationship, which will allow achieving significant results in the enhancement of the legal system of Kazakhstan.
