Prosecutor General: Almost all murders committed by the unemployed in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. November 18. KAZINFORM - In Kazakhstan almost all murders have been committed by unemployed people, the General Prosecutor's Office said.

"As you know, the murder rate is determined by criminogenic factors associated primarily with socio-economic status of criminals, the lack of adequate prevention. The analysis shows that almost all the killings in the country (98 %) were committed by the unemployed people, more than half of them (57%) were committed while intoxicated and on the basis of family and domestic conflicts, 15% by previously convicted persons", says the press-service of Prosecutor General's Office, according to the results of the expanded board office.

According to the Attorney General Askhat Daulbaev, actually it is important to look for fundamentally new approaches to identify and remove the causes and conditions that led to violent crimes.

"In the system of prevention the dominant should be social and legal measures of preventing such act ", the press service quoted the head of the supervisory authority.

One of the priority areas of prevention is recognized expansion of the district police station. The supervisory authorities believe that they need to be provided with remote access to all the information databases, it is necessary to implement advanced technologies of fixing and tracking, and actively involve the public and the media to solve crimes.

Prosecutors in the field are tasked to ensure proper coordination of law enforcement to fight crime, strengthen the supervision of the state of the operational work of prevention, detection and investigation of homicides.
