Projects of EXPO-2017 construction sites will undergo mandatory private expertise
ASTANA. November 13. KAZINFORM - The plenary session of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament has approved in the first reading the draft law of "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts on organization and conduct of the International specialized exhibition EXPO -2017 in Astana".
As the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Erbolat Dosaev says, the bill is designed to comply with orders of the President.
The amendments provide tax incentives for organizations engaged in preparation and holding of the exhibition, a simplified procedure for architecture, urban planning and construction activities in respect of objects on display, as well as the possibility of using foreign standards.
In particular, due to the fact that the exhibition is held in the territory of "Astana is a new city" special economic zone (SEZ), the subjects of which have features of taxation, there are amendments to the tax code allowing clearly define features of levying organizations operating both within the SEZ and within the framework of EXPO -2017.
In order to ensure the safety of visitors there is also a provision for mandatory private construction expertise of all objects of the exhibition.
