Program on Semipalatinsk test site rehabilitation can be adopted till year-end - K.Kadyrzhanov
ASTANA. September 29. KAZINFORM /Yevgeny Novikov/ Within the framework of the roundtable in the UN Representative Office in Kazakhstan Director General of the National Nuclear Center Kairat Kadyrzhanov has announced that the state program on rehabilitation of the Semipalatinsk former test site could be adopted till the end of the year.
According to the program elaborated by the Kazakh President's instruction, about 95 percent of the test site territory can be transmitted into the economic circulation. K.Kadyrzhanov emphasizes that this process will take long time.
Besides, within the framework of the program it is foreseen rendering help to the victims of the nuclear tests.
The program implementation for 2010-2020 is equal to about KZT 1 trln.
