Production of RON 92 petrol to increase up to 21% in 2016
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Production of RON 92 petrol will increase in Kazakhstan after completion of the modernization of three oil refineries in the country, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Vladimir Shkolnik informed.
According to him, after completion of the modernization of three oil refineries in the country, the volume of production of oil will increase by 29.4%, from 14.2 million tons to 18.5 million.
"The oil refining efficiency will also grow from 83 to 90%, and production of the most popular gasoline type - RON 92, is expected to increase from 12% to 21%. Thus, after 2016 we will become fully independent in terms of gasoline and diesel fuel produced within the country. We won't need these products imported to our countries anymore," the Minister said.
