Production of pharmaceuticals has increased 3 times in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. March 24. KAZINFORM - Since the beginning of the Program of Forced Industrial-Innovative Development (PFIID) the amount of pharmaceutical production increased almost 3 times, reports the Central Communications Service under the President with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan.

As known, pharmacy has been determined a priority within PFIID. According to target indicator program in 2014, the domestic market will be provided with medicines by 50% from domestic producers.

"This indicator has almost been achieved in 2011 - 49% in real terms. Volume production of medicines during the previous year was 29.4 billion, which is almost 3 times more than in 2008 - KZT 10.2 billion ", the press-service informs.

The share of domestic producers in the structure of purchasing by a single distributor accounted for 67% in volume. Also last year, 93 Kazakh companies were offset the costs associated with the promotion of their products to foreign markets. Total cost made KZT 291.2 million.

Moreover, four companies like Nobel AFF, Himfarm, DOSFARM and Medoptika have been recharged KZT 9.4 million.

It should be noted that in the period from 2010 to 2012, 16 investment projects have been carried out in the industry. As a result, the local production has been established for producing antibiotics, cardiac, gastrointestinal, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral drugs, disposable medical clothing, syringes and injection systems for infusion solutions and medical equipment, as well as disposable sterile vacuum tubes for collection and storage of venous blood.

Implementation of 14 projects has been scheduled for 2013-2015.
