Problem of shortage of schools and kindergartens keeps growing
ASTANA. October 8. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ In the course of the session on Astana's further development Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed the city administration to scrutinize the issue of financing the construction of schools and kindergartens in Astana.
"Over the last four years the number of children that were included into the waiting list in order to get admitted to kindergartens has grown 4.5 times and reached 31 thousand. This is a big problem. 32 schools have been built in the city over the last years but deficit makes 13 thousand and it contunues to rise", the President said.
"We must raise private investments in order to resolve this problem. Businesses must not forget about social responsibility ", he added.
In this view, akim of Astana Imangali Tasmagambetov noted that everything should be prepared before the 12-year education is introduced in the country.
