Press conference on stabilization of Kyrgyz situation held in Bishkek

First of all, Z. Karibzhanov expressed condolences to families of people died in the tumult in the southern Kyrgyzstan.

The main topics of the agenda were the necessity to stop violence, ensuring security in the region and issues of provision of humanitarian aid and refugees.

Z. Karibzhanov emphasized that the unrest would be certainly stopped and it was important to think about the future now.

'The interim government works on stabilizing the situation but it should be remembered that the situation is very delicate. The problem cannot be solved by force only. We should diplomatically inform people about the situation which will be a great help as well', Z. Karibzhanov said.

Besides, he emphasized that the OSCE was ready to provide needed assistance in all spheres.
