Presidents of Kazakhstan, Swiss Confederation discuss key aspects of bilateral partnership

DAVOS-ASTANA. January 24. KAZINFORM Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhstan, has met today with President of the Swiss Confederation Didier Burkhalter during the former's stay in Davos, Switzerland, the Akorda's press service reports.

During the bilateral negotiations, the Kazakh leader noted the high organizational level of the World Economic Forum.

The sides gave consideration to the key aspects of the Kazakhstani-Swiss partnership as well as prospects of its further development. They also exchanged thoughts on the relevant issues of the international agenda.

Nursultan Nazarbayev and Didier Burkhalter praised the gradual strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation in the bilateral format and at the international level.

President Nazarbayev stressed that Switzerland is one of the largest trade partners of Kazakhstan in Europe. Such large Swiss companies as Algroup, Rieter and Glencore function in Kazakhstan.

In conclusion, both leaders expressed confidence the bilateral cooperation will develop dynamically in the nearest future.
