Presidential hopeful Syrgabayev fails to pass state language test

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - One of 2015 presidential hopefuls Askar Syrgabayev has failed to pass the state language proficiency test.

Myrzatai Zholdasbekov, the chairman of the special linguistic commission that determines the level of the state language proficiency of the candidates for the Presidency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, announced the results of the test on Thursday. According to him, Mr. Syrgabayev made 92 mistakes during the written test. Born in 1959 in Zhambyl region, Askar Syrgabayev is a graduate of the Management and Economy Institute Daulet. He is married and resides in Astana.
