Presidential candidates to spend up to 577M on election campaign
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Presidential candidates in Kazakhstan can raise up to 577 million tenge for their election campaign, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Kuandyk Turgankulov said.
"Candidates for presidency have the right to create electoral funds in order to finance their election campaign. The electoral funds consist of personal funds of the candidates and voluntary donations of public associations, organizations and individuals. However, the electoral fund of each candidate cannot exceed 577 million tenge," Kuandyk Turgankulov told the press conference at the Central Communications Service. According to him, the Central Election Commission has already prepared promo videos, billboards and printed materials about the upcoming presidential elections in Kazakhstan.
