Presidential administration formed at Kyrgyz interim govt
BISHKEK. July 13. KAZINFORM Kyrgyz leader Roza Otunbayeva has singed on Tuesday an ordinance on the formation of a presidential administration, ITAR-TASS learnt at the press service of the interim government of the republic. Several months ago Kurmanbek Bakiyev removed from power in April 2010 abolished the presidential administration and created an institution of the head of state; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
"To ensure the realization of the president's powers, as well as on the basis of the constitution, a presidential administration was created in accordance with Otunbayeva's ordinance," a representative of the press service said. Former head of the apparatus of the interim government Emilbek Kantagayev was appointed to the post of head of the administration. He was instructed to bring in for approval a structure and a staff of the presidential administration within seven days.
On Tuesday, Otunbayeva announced the structure of a new government. It will include 17 ministries, seven state agencies, six state services and two funds. As is expected, on October 10, parliamentary elections will be held in the republic, after which a deputy corps will appoint a new prime minister. Then Otunbayeva will give up the powers of prime minister but will remain to be the president until December 31, 2011; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
