President Tokayev visits newly-built school in Astana

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan paid a visit to the capital’s school-gymnasium No.96, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.

1,466 students attend the school built at the expense of the funds seized from corrupt officials.

The social and humanitarian sciences-oriented school provides English, French, and Chinese language subjects.

According to director Saule Temenova, the school implements inclusive education as 28 kids with special educational needs are studied in it.

In a talk with the school’s personnel, the President noted that the State will further take measures aimed at increasing the status of a teacher.

As Astana city’s education office’s head Kassymkhan Sengazyev, this year, it is planned to commission 12 schools for 16 thousand sits. As of now, seven schools have been opened, with five more to be opened by the yearend.

He also informed about the work on the implementation of the President’s task to open a higher pedagogical educational facility in Astana.
