President visited regional Blood Center in Karaganda
KARAGANDA. May 4. KAZINFORM /Valentina Yelizarova/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has visited a regional Blood Center in Karaganda within his working trip to the region.
The Head of State got familiarized with the information system of the reception which is the first stage of donor selection, surveyed laboratories, service rooms and other departments of the Center.
'This Center is of highest importance for the country. It will collect blood that can save people's lives,' the President emphasized.
Construction of the Center started in Karaganda in 2008 within the '100 schools, 100 hospitals' program. KZT 2.7 billion was allocated from the state budget on this purpose.
According to director of the regional Blood Center Vladimir Loktionov, the Center has all the modern equipment and technologies. All the equipment of the Center is manufactured in the USA and Europe and meets all the world standards. 'All up-to-date and unique equipment we have here in this Center,' the director emphasized.
