President Tokayev awards Chinese Ambassador Zhang Xiao with 2nd class Dostyq Order
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao, Kazinform News Agency reports, citing Akorda.


During the meeting, the Kazakh leader pointed out that Kazakhstan and China have been tied with long-standing friendship and good-neighborliness bonds. According to him, the sides continue strengthening cooperation based on mutual trust and respect.
As Tokayev said, today Kazakhstan and China have dynamic and multifaceted relations, enjoying active political dialogue, strong trade and economic ties, cultural exchanges, observing the growing number of educational programs and scientific projects as well as close cooperation in the field of security, especially in the fight against ‘three evils’.
Besides, the countries actively work within the UN, SCO, CICA as well as the CA-China format. According to the Kazakh leader, the relations between Kazakhstan and China can be described as exemplary.
In turn, the Chinese ambassador thanked Tokayev and confirmed Beijing's commitment to further progressive development of comprehensive strategic partnership.
The Head of State commended Zhang Xiao's personal contribution to strengthening the friendship and good-neighborliness bonds as well as successful promotion of Kazakh-Chinese cooperation in all areas. The Kazakh President awarded Zhang Xiao with the Dostyq Order of class two.
