President Tokayev and other participants of One Water Summit gather for photo-op in Riyadh
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the ceremony of posing for a photo together with One Water Summit participants, Kazinform agency reports with reference to the Akorda press service.
Earlier, Kazinform reported that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Riyadh for a working visit to participate in One Water Summit.
On the margins of One Water Summit in Riyadh, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met the President of the World Bank Group, Ajay Banga, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Akorda press service.
The Head of State noted the importance of strategic partnership of Kazakhstan and the World Bank. According to him, Kazakhstan and the World Bank are implementing today five major joint projects worth $3.5 billion in the field of water resources, transport and education.
In order to boost the dialogue and determine the long-term prospects for joint activity, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited the President of the World Bank to pay a visit to Kazakhstan.
As it was reported, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Saudi Arabia for a working visit, to participate in One Water Summit. The event is held on the sidelines of the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification. The organizers of the summit are France, Kazakhstan, and the World Bank, in partnership with Saudi Arabia.
