President says, state of emergency not to be prolonged in Zhanaozen

ASTANA. January 27. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has made a decision not to prolong the state of emergency in the town of Zhanaozen in Mangystau region. The President announced his decision delivering his annual Address to the nation.

"As you know, the situation in Zhanaozen has stabilized. The majority of Zhanaozen people cast their votes for Nur Otan in the recent parliamentary elections. It shows that they support the state policy. Therefore, I have made a decision not to extend the state of emergency in the town," the President noted.
