President says, election of deputies for People's Assembly is Kazakhstan's innovation
ASTANA. January 16. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has called the election of the deputies for the Parliament of Kazakhstan, elected by the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan, as a democratic innovation of our country.
"We have been holding these elections for the second time and there is no such a precedent in the world. It is a democratic innovation of Kazakhstan when the representatives of ethnic groups may have their deputies at the supreme legislative body of our country," the President said addressing the 18th extraordinary session of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan.
Besides, the President highlighted the work of the Assembly's deputies of the fourth convocation.
"They participated in adoption of many laws and submitted interpellations to the executive branch which means they acted uniting our people, representing the interest of all the nations," the Head of State underlined.
