President's Address to the Nation discussed in S Kazakhstan
ANA. August 18. KAZINFORM Vice Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Mukhambet Kopeyev has paid a working visit to the South Kazakhstan oblast.
The issues regarding realization of the tasks assigned by the President in his Message to the Nation Through Crisis to Renovation and Prosperity were discussed at a meeting with the deputies of the local maslikhat.
Kazakhstan economy is quite sound and the country is able to pursue an efficient anti-crisis policy today, M. Kopeyev said. The provisions of the Message serve as timely and certain response to the challenges caused by the impact of the global financial crisis, he highlighted.
An Action Plan on ensuring stable socio-economic development of the country was adopted. Funds for its realization were allotted from the national budget, he informed.
Last year the Government of Kazakhstan launched the second anti-crisis program providing for allocation of KZT 1 trln 200 bln from the National fund.
In addition, M. Kopeyev told about the results of the second session of the Parliament of the fourth convocation. According to him, the Parliament has adopted 127 laws including the laws On amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On State Purchases", new Tax Code, Fiscal Code, On National Budget for 2009-2011 and around twenty laws regulating anti-crisis measures.
The Vice Speaker also focused on the problems of small and medium businesses and agro-industrial sector.
During the visit to the Southern Kazakhstan M. Kopeyev surveyed a number of construction projects of the region provided for within the Road Map and visited socio-cultural instituions.
