President's Address marks new stage of Kazakhstan's development: SCO Sec Gen
BEIJING. February 11. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ The 2011 Address of the Kazakh President to the Nation takes special place among the annual addresses of the Kazakh Leader and is a particular forward-looking program of country's development. Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Muratbek Imanaliyev shared his view on the President's Address with a Kazinform correspondent.
"The government and the people of Kazakhstan are steadily progressing under the leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev - political, economic and social reforms are being gradually implemented; standards of living are increased; Kazakhstan's international image is promoted.
The measures on the world financial crisis overcoming taken by the country's leadership showed their positive results.
Besides ascertaining the success of country's development since gaining the independence the President's Address defines particular tasks on further economic and social modernization as well.
I think realization of these plans meets the efforts on formation of a common economic and politically stable space within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
In this regard, the fact that the Address emphasizes the intention of Kazakhstan to make every effort on the SCO strengthening is of special importance.
As is known, the Republic of Kazakhstan is honored to take the responsibility of chairing the SCO in 2011. The culmination of Kazakhstan's presidency will be the SCO Summit devoted to the 10th anniversary of the Organization scheduled for June in Astana.
I believe, the Kazakhstan's presidency in the Organization will strengthen the success achieved by the SCO in 10 years and promote further development of the region", he said.
