President received Crown Prince of Norway Haakon Magnus in Akorda
ASTANA. February 5. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Today President Nursultan Nazarbayev has received a delegation of Norway headed by Crown Prince of this country Haakon Magnus in Akorda Palace.
"I remember my first visit to your country in 2005 when I had negotiations with His Majesty The King. The agreements reached that year gave positive impulse to the development of our relations. Kazakhstan considers Norway as its important partner. We remember that your country was among the first to acknowledge our independence in far 1992. Since that time our countries have been enjoying friendly relations. There is an Embassy of Kazakhstan in Norway at present. Your Consulate is to open in our country soon. We welcome all these efforts", the Kazakh Leader noted.
The Kazakh-Norwegian business forum scheduled for today in Astana with the participation of Haakon Magnus will greatly contribute to the rapprochement of the countries, N. Nazarbayev stressed. The Head of the State also said the conference held in Oslo on the initiative of Kazakhstan and Norway had become a milestone in cooperation of two states.
