President of UAE supported construction of Mosque for 5 000 worshipers in Kazakhstan
SHYMKENT. May 31. KAZINFORM - In South Kazakhstan has been opened the largest mosque in the region, it can accommodate up to five thousand worshipers.
This mosque was built on the initiative of the Head of State, and with the support of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Territory area is 2.69 hectares, the total area of 8516 m2 building. The cost of the project is KZT 1 billion 622 million (tenge), the construction of a charitable foundation has been financed by Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan.
Two-storey part of the building is 3699.4 sq.m, the dome of the building - 3702.3 sq ft, and the minarets are 344 sq.m. In addition, the complex consists of a single room for washing the house of the Imam, and a boiler room. Parking area - 3748 sq ft, blocked stones - 5865 sq ft, the area of land for landscaping lawn - 1.2 hectares, and 723 trees and shrubs have been planted .
The opening ceremony of the 748th registered mosque in South Kazakhstan was attended by Minister of Justice, Head of Religious Affairs, President of the UAE, the Chairman of the Agency for Religious Affairs Kairat Lama Sharif, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Kazakhstan Matar Al Ketbi, Chairman of Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Grand Mufti Erjan Mayamerov and Akim of South Kazakhstan Askar Myrzahmetov.
In the South Kazakhstan governor's office it has been stressed that the complex would be one of the most beautiful buildings in the city of Shymkent, its visiting card.
