ASTANA. February 11. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ President of Serbia Boris Tadić expressed a wish to visit Kazakhstan in 2010.
Serbian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Jelica Kurjak has made it public after a ceremony of presenting credentials to Kazakh Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev in Akorda on Thursday, February 11.
According to her, they agreed on a meeting of the presidents of Kazakhstan and Serbia this year. "Our President expressed a wish to visit Kazakhstan", Jelica Kurjak said.
Besides, at the invitation of the Serbian Foreign Ministry the Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs will pay a visit to Serbia in 2010.
The Serbian diplomat congratulated Kazakhstan on the chairmanship in the OSCE and noted that "the Serbian leadership hopes, that the Kazakh President and government will make a progress in the issues of the European security and will give new impulse to the OSCE".
Jelica Kurjak informed of the results of the meeting held in the Ministry of Industry and Trade on Wednesday, February 10, in the course of which the sides agreed on beginning of a work over an agreement on trade liberalization. "We will further work in the issues of joint investments and trade facilitation between the two countries", she noted.
The Serbian Ambassador emphasize that the two countries reached the agreement on holding the week of films, and translation of the Kazakh books into the Serbian by the Serbian Ministry for Culture.
"Serbia is a small European country with definite advantages and great opportunities", Jelica Kurjak resumed.
