President Nazarbayev visits Kazakhstan ASELSAN plant in Astana
ASTANA. December 19. KAZINFORM Today, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has paid a visit to an optical sensor plant in the special economic zone "the Astana industrial park", Kazinform has learnt from the press service of Astana mayor's office.
The Kazakh-Turkish joint venture for production of electronic optical devices Kazakhstan ASELSAN LLP was set up on May 13, 2011.
The project is implemented by Kazakhstan ASELSAN Engineering LLP within the framework of the cooperation agreement as of February 18, 2011 with JSC "NC Kazakhstan Engineering and ASELSAN A.S/ (Turkey) in order to equip the Kazakh armed forces and other agencies with optronics and ensure technical and service maintenance of these products.
Set to be completed this year, the KZT 4.5 billion project is expected to create 100 jobs.
