President Nazarbayev visits Almaty region

ALMATY REGION. May 26. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is in the Almaty region to survey the construction of facilities at Altynkol railway station on Zhetygen-Korgas railway line.
The railroad will boost Kazakhstan's transit potential and open the second international border railway crossing between the Republic of Kazakhstan and People's Republic of China.
The rail mileage amounts to 6.3 km.
Railway stations for local and transit passengers, a hotel with a gym, and a canteen were built to ensure the comfort of passengers.
Office block for the staff of border railway crossing was erected. Construction of the customs and borderline infrastructure is finished.
